I currently teach a number of theories as part of a UKCP accredited university based MSc. and BA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling and Person-Centred Counselling. This comes in many different forms, including supervising skills practice, lecturing, and facilitating personal and professional development and encounter groups.
I have post qualifying training and learning in African Psychology, and Global African studies. Additionally, I have a history of teaching and facilitating lectures, workshops, and groups on the brave, and often thorny issues of race.
I’m interested in exploring the history of psychotherapy, critical theories relating to classical modalities, and how this impacts the learning environment and therapeutic space when working cross-culturally.
I have an interest in the thoughtful ways in which contemporary thinkers are starting to embrace difference through theory and in practice. I’m keen to share what I’ve found.
I’m a UKCP registered Integrative Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and Trainer; I have supported, facilitated and been a participant in groups who are open to exploring cross-racial dialogues, in a safe yet open space.
My preference is to share my subjective experience through experiential learning and group facilitation.

I believe that continuos learning and development is crucial to our work with the people we are in the service of. I currently take part in my own ongoing professional training and development with a Southern Californian based institute that teaches the relational aspects of Gestalt Therapy; I enjoy the international collegiality and learning, to add to my integrative style of working.
Having held a seat for a two year term on the board of directors for an international therapy advancement board; I have the beginnings of understanding the many cross-racial nuances of some microcosmic spaces in psychotherapy.
